1st Place Varsity Cheer Team

The Bath County Cheer-leading Squad competed Saturday afternoon in “The Classic Battle”, hosted by Battle Zone Cheer & Dance, on the Campus of Eastern Kentucky University at the Alumni Coliseum in the Paul S. McBrayer Area bringing home the 1st Place Varsity Trophy.

The Team competed in the Varsity Cheer Division.

The Squad was sharp as they maneuvered through Tumbling, Jumps and Mounts including a Show -n- Go Mount. The crowd roared along with the girls as they cheered “LETS GO BIG RED” & “WE ARE BC” followed by the excitement of Back Hand Springs, Back Tucks and Front Walk Overs.

They team was presented their 1st Place Trophy on the floor of the arena as the fan base showed their pride and support.

Cheerleading is the only sport that crosses over and extends from Fall to Winter Competition. The athletes work hard over a long period of time and perform tough tumbling and gymnastics skills that require concentration and athleticism.

The Team is under the direction of Head Coach Carmen Elam and Coach Taryn Williams.
