2017 Seniors :Carrie Staviski – Kristin Riddle

Both Boys & Girls Cross Country Teams placed 3rd at their home meet the Wildcat Prowl on a rained soaked evening. The rain by no means dampened the spirits of the athletes or the large crowd of fans on hand.

The Teams Honored Senior Harriers Kristin Riddle and Carrie Staviski before the start of the evening’s events.  They seniors were presented a gift from Coach Tolle and from family and friends.

Kristin has competed in Cross Country for 5 years and competed at the KHSAA State Meet in 2016. She has recorded 5 Top Ten Finishes throughout her career and was named 2nd Team All-EKC in 2017. Kristin plans to attend Berea College to study Nursing.

Carrie has competed in Cross Country for 8 years and has 5 KHSAA State Meet appearances. She has recorded 54 Top Ten finishes which includes 14 1st Place Finishes. She has been named 1st Team All-EKC, 1st Team All-KTCCCA Area 7 & 1st Team All-Region 6AA. Carrie plans to attend Morehead State University to study Radiology and join the Eagles Track & Cross County Team.

Staviski led the team finishing 1st overall in a time of 20:32.14. Isabella Copher put on a strong finish and placed 2nd overall with a 20:48.60. Amelia Oldfield also had a strong finish and placed 14th with a 26:20.80. Jaycie Bussell was in 17th place and also strong at the end finishing at 27:39.27. Makayla Blackburn finished 21st at 30:25.82 to round out the scoring. Senior Kristin Riddle did not run the race as she was participating in the Girls Soccer District Tournament in Menifee County.

James Overholser ran a very strong race in the mud to lead the team and finish 3rd overall with a 17:47.22. Caleb Bowen was right behind finishing 4th overall in a time of 17:50.40. Hunter Middleton finishing 20th with a 19:59.33. Taylor Purvis finished in Personal Record time with 20:05.71 to place 21st. Eli Ulery finished 47th with a time of 30:02.29 and Rodney Crouch placed 48th running a 31:22.21

Elementary 1.6K –  Isaac Ulery 6:45.62, Landon Branham 9:08.79, Madison Mabior 7:40.04, Gabriella Stacy-Bonet 10:08.80, Gracie Lewis 10:12.62, Karson Tolle (PR)10:55.75.
