The Bath County High School Basketball Program will host the 1st annual CSI Classic on December 28, 29, and 30.
Coach Bart Williams has created a very competitive tournament that will include teams from the 10th, 14th, and 15th regions. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games in the Bath County Gymnasium.
The 10th region representatives are Paris and Robertson County. Paris is the defending All A State Champion. Robertson County is coming off their first 10th region tournament appearance since the 2013-14 season.
Estill County and Jackson City will be traveling to Owingsville from the 14th region. Estill had an impressive 25-8 season in 2016-17, losing in the 14th region semifinals. Jackson City and new head coach Denny Fugate will look to improve on last year’s 7-24 campaign.
The 15th region will be represented by the Lawrence County Bulldogs. The Bulldogs were 22-12 last season and are hoping to rebuild after losing one of the best players in their school’s history.
The 16th region will be represented not only by the Bath County Wildcats, but district rival Menifee County and the East Carter Raiders will also fill out the field for the 1st annual tournament. The Raiders will look to improve on a 14-15 record last season and Menifee has been voted one of the top Class A teams in the 16th.
