Monday, November 20, was a proud day for many Bath County Athletic supporters as Carrie Staviski signed with Morehead State University Cross Country and Track & Field.
A 4.0 Grade Point Average student and a three year in a row recipient of the teacher selected Citizenship Award, Carrie has been outstanding in the classroom and will certainly represent Bath County well as she pursues a baccalaureate in Imaging Science at MSU .
During her Cross Country career at Bath County, Carrie has had six Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Meet appearances and has been named to the 2017 All-State Team. She has represented Bath well with 14 first places finishes in her tenure as a Lady Wildcat and has set the school record 5K time. Led by Coach Robin Tolle, Carrie and her teammates won the 2017 Region 6AA Championship.
Carrie also excels in Track and Field with four KHSAA State Meet appearances, ten all-time First Place finishes, and the Region 6AA Championship in the 3200 meters. Trained by her father Rick Staviski, a United States of America Track & Field (USATF) Level 1 Certified Coach, Carrie has set over 9 school records in various Track and Field events. The father-daughter duo will have their final season together this spring.
Her modesty and humble character have earned the respect of her teammates who showed up in large numbers to support her on her signing day. Carrie has made everyone at Bath County proud to be a Wildcat, and we wish her the best of luck as an MSU Eagle.
