The TRACKCATS competed in the KHSAA Region 7A Track & Field Championship at Russell on Friday May 12 on a near 90˚ windy afternoon. The Girls finished 3rd and the Boys 5th in the Championship Meet.

The Girls will sent athletes to the KHSAA State Track & Field Championship Meet in seven different event and the Boys will compete in four events. The Mixed Unified will compete in one event.

The State Meet is Thursday May 17th with the first events starting at 4:00pm at the University of Kentucky Track & Field Complex.

Earning Automatic Bids as Region Champions:

The Girls 4×800 Meter Relay Team of Carrie Staviski, Kristin Riddle, Isabella Copher & Abby Henderson. The Girls finished the race in a time of 11:20.56.

Madelyne English in the Discus Throw and the Shot Put. She completed a Discus throw of 99-08 and a Record Shot Put throw of 34-04.75

Taylor Purvis in the Pole Vault with a height of 10-00.00

Earning Automatic Bids as Region Runner Up:

The Girls 4×400 Meter Relay Team of Amelia Oldfield, Kristin Riddle, Carrie Staviski & Abby Henderson. The Girls finished the race in a Season Best time of 4:49:31.

Amelia Oldfield in the 400 Meter Dash with a Personal Record time of 1:05.89

Kaylee Staviski in the Pole Vault with a height of 7-00.00

James Overholser in the 3200 Meter Run in a time of 11:00.09

Earning at Large Bids on Performance:

The Mixed Unified 2×50 Relay Team of Austin Bowling and Jaycie Bussell. They completed the relay in a time of 26.20

The Boys 4×800 Meter Relay Team of Caleb Bowen, Eric Townsend, Hunter Middleton & James Overholser. The Boys finished the race in a Season Best time of 9:08.80

The Boys 4×200 Meter Relay Team of Alden Oldfield, Landan Swartz, Donovan Holder & Quentin Lewis. The Boys finished the race in a Season Best time of 1:36.93
