Wildcats News · BCHS Anglers Win Bradley Roy Open

Maycee Lyons and Griffin Fraley finished 1st Place of 121 boats on Herrington Lake competing in the 6th Annual Bradley Roy High School Open fishing tournament.

Maycee and Griffin were presented their awards by Professional fisherman and host Bradley Roy a Lancaster Kentucky native.


The BC Anglers are the State Champions of the Bass Nation High School Open and will compete in the Nationals next summer in Tennessee. The Nations will be televised on ESPN2.

Spencer Pergrem and Jacob Conyers also recorded a weight in.

Also fishing were Mason Lyons and Carson Vice.

The boats had a four hour fog delay before casting off over Herrington Lake.

The Bass Fishing Student-Athletes endure long travel hours and early morning preparation before each Competition. Seldom do they have the opportunity to eat during the long periods on the water.
