Wildcats News · Ladycats Season Ends

The Bath County Ladycats ended their season last night, losing to Ashland Blazer in the first round of the 16th Regional Tournament. Even though we are sad to see the season come to an end, this team will be long remembered for their accomplishments. With their record of 10-6-1, this team had the fewest losses of any Ladycat team since 2005. They were the 16th Region Class A Champions and 61st District Runners-up for 4 consecutive years and have had a winning season for the past 4 years. Madelyne English had 150 saves in 14 games, putting her among the top goal keepers in the state in this category. Sadara Copher ended her career owning every offensive soccer school record at Bath County High School. She became the first player in Ladycat history to score 100 goals and leaves the school record at 119. She also broke her own career assist record with 35 career assists. She owns the season assist record of 14 and the season scoring record of 39. We say goodbye to 6 seniors this year, Sadara Copher, Madelyne English, Kiki Howard, Allison Karrick, Kylen Messer, and Makayla Parsons. Each of these players have contributed greatly to the success of this team and have set a high standard for the returning Ladycats to acheive. Congratulations to the 2018 Ladycat Soccer Team!
