The Bath County Wildcats saw their 4 game winning streak end abruptly as the Montgomery County Indians dominated from start to finish winning 82-59 in Mount Sterling Tuesday night.

The Indians jumped out to a 22-12 lead at the end of the first quarter and the Wildcats could never muster enough points to close the gap in the 1st meeting between the two teams since 2013.

The Wildcats frontcourt scored most of the points as Jacob Patton netted 16 points and Chandler Otis finished with 12.

Montgomery County was led in scoring by shooting guard Brandon Dyer’s 16 points. Will Cockrell finished with 15.

The Indians improved to 9-7 and the Wildcats dropped to 7-10 on the season.

The Wildcats will be back in action this Friday as they host 61st district rival Fleming County in a girl/boy doubleheader starting at 6pm.
