Multiple Teams · TRACKCATS Bring Home KTCCCA Medals


The BCHS TRACKCATS competed in the 2019 KTCCCA State Track & Field Class ‘A’ Championship Saturday at the Mason County Indoor Athletic Complex in Maysville.

The Girls finished 4th and the Boys 15th in the Class ‘A’ Track & Field Competition

KTCCCA Medal Recipients:

Isabella Copher is the 2019 KTCCCA Class ‘A’ State Track & Field 1600 Meter Champion finishing her race in a time of 5:51.60. She also earned a KTCCCA Medal in the 3000 Meter Run finishing 2nd in the State with a time of 12:06.72

  

Amelia Oldfield finished 3rd Place in the 400 Meter Dash to earn a KTCCCA Medal in a time of 1:06.24

Madelyne English received the 2nd Place KTCCCA Medal in the Shot Put with a mark of 29-11.50 which she established on her second throw

The Girls 4×400 Meter Relay Team of Amelia Oldfield-Mallory Brashear-Abby Henderson-Jaycie Bussell place 3rd to earn their KTCCCA Medal completing the 1600 meters in a time of 5:02.06

Taylor Purvis finished 3rd in the Pole Vault Competition to earn a KTCCCA Medal with a Vault of 11-00 last Sunday at Kentucky Elite Athletics in Shelbyville.

BCHS Indoor School Records:

Amelia Oldfield ran a 1:06.24 in the 400 Meter Dash to break the current Indoor School Record which she previously held

Jaycie Bussell broke the Indoor Triple Jump Record on her first attempt but then extended that distance on her third try to set the new Indoor School Record at 27-06.00

Kaylee Staviski Vaulted 7-00 last Sunday at Kentucky Elite Athletics to break the Indoor Pole Vault School Record height which she previously held

4th Place – Abby Henderson 800 Meter Run 2:45.61

5th Place – Jenna Cassady Shot Put 27-08.00


5th Place – Kaylee Staviski Pole Vault 7-00

7th Place – James Overholser 3000 Meter Run 10:47.56

The TRACKCATS now prepare for the Outdoor Season with the first meet at Montgomery County on March 23 for the Battle of the Borders competing for the Mayors’ Cup.
