Girls Varsity Track · TRACKCATS Earn EKC Gold


The BCHS TRACKCATS Girls finished 3rd and the Boys 4th at the Prestigious Eastern Kentucky Conference Track & Field Championship held at Morgan County in West Liberty

Russell High School Boys and Girls were the EKC Champions.

Sophomore TRACKCAT Amelia Oldfield was the EKC Female High Point earner scoring 31.5 points

Amelia is the 2019 EKC Champion in three individual events winning the 100 Dash, 200 Dash, and the 400 Dash earning 10 points for each

She was also part of the 3rd Place 4×400 Relay Team and earned 1.5 point

Amelia’s 100 Dash time was 13.88, 200 Dash 27.98, and 400 Dash 1:03.64

  

Senior Abby Henderson is the 800 Meter Run EKC Champion finishing in a time of 2:40.47

Abby also ran on the 4th Place 4×800 & 3rd Place 4×400 Relay Teams

Freshman Quentin Lewis earned an EKC Championship in the 200 Dash finishing at 23.99

Quentin also finished 3rd in the 100 Dash, 7th in the Long Jump, and was part of the 5th Place 4×400 Meter Relay Team

Junior Taylor Purvis is the 2019 EKC Pole Vault Champion clearing 10-00

Taylor also competed in the High Jump placing 3rd and was part of the 4×400 that finished 5th

Senior Madelyne English had a Discus Throw of 102-10.00 and a Shot Put of 32-08.50 to earn both events 2019 EKC Championship

Madelyne will be throwing next year for Georgetown College

The TRACKCAT Booster Club is having a Meet for Middle School Team to be held Thursday April 25 at the TRACKCAT Complex

The Teams will then be at Rowan County on Saturday April 27
