Girls Varsity Track · TRACKCATS KHSAA State Bound


The BCHS TRACKCATS Girls finished 2nd with 102 points, behind Morgan County’s 107, to claim the Region 7A Track & Field Championship Runner-Up Trophy. The Boys place 4th in the standing with 59 points

This was the first time in school history that the Region Track Meet came to Bath County
Region 7A consist of nineteen schools with seventeen competing for the Championship this year

The Girls will sent 8 Individual Events and 2 Relay Teams to the KHSAA State Track & Field Championship Meet

The Boys will send, as automatic qualifiers, 3 Individual Events. Pending the outcome of the Region 6A Meet on Thursday the Boys could add two other Individual events plus a Relay Team

-The 4×800 Meter Relay Team of Isabella Copher, Mallory Brashear, Jaycie Bussell, and Abby Henderson
-Isabella Copher in the 1600 & 3200 Meter Run
-Amelia Oldfield in the 400 & 200 Meter
-Abby Henderson in the 800 Meter Run
-The 4×400 Meter Relay Team of Amelia Oldfield, Mallory Brashear, Jaycie Bussell, and Abby Henderson
-Madelyne English in the Shot Put and Discus Throw
-Kaylee Staviski in the Pole Vault
-Caleb Bowen in the 1600 Meter Run
-James Overholser in the Pole Vault
-Taylor Purvis in the Pole Vault

The TRACKCATS now prepare for the KHSAA State Track & Field Championship in Lexington on the Blue Surface at the UK Track & Field Complex

The State Meet is May 30th. Running and Field Events start at 10am
