The Bath County Boys Soccer team had lost 14 games straight games to Russell dating back to 2005.
That ominous streak has now been put to rest.
The Wildcats continued their nice defensive play coupled with a big strike offense to hold off the Russell Red Devils 2-1 at home to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Alex Perez scored right before the half and Devin Hunt hit the back of the net with 24:17 left in the contest to put the Cats into the win column.
Russell did score on a penalty shot with 5:52 let in the game but the Cats’ defense eventually was just too much.
The Wildcats will be back in action Thursday night at 7:30pm as they travel to Berea.
