Boys Varsity Soccer · Boys Soccer Wins All A Championship, Earns Win at King of the Mountains

The Bath County Boys Soccer team won their fourth 16th Region All A Championship in the last 6 years as they beat West Carter 2-1 Saturday morning at Menifee County.

It wasn’t an easy task for Coach Chris Roussos’ club, who became the winningest soccer coach in BCHS history, as it took penalty kicks to take home the trophy.

Alex Perez scored the lone goal in regulation.

Penalties saw Perez, Jamie Simpkins, Nathan Davis and Chase Roussos hit the back of the net for the Wildcats while the Comets only netted 2 shots vs. keeper Jacob Patton.

The Wildcats will play Prestonsburg in the All A Sectionals with the time and date to be announced.

Saturday evening the Wildcats traveled to Rowan County to play Lawrence County in the King of the Mountains.

The Cats beat the Bulldogs 3-2 as they improved to 6-2-1 on the season.

Nathan Davis, Alex Perez and Devon Hunt found the net while David Walden had an assist.

The Cats will be back in action Monday night at home in a girl/boy doubleheader vs. Powell County. The girls game will begin at 6pm.
