It was not a good night for the LadyCats on Friday night as they traveled to Morehead to take on district-foe, Rowan County. The LadyCats started out slow and fell behind 21-10 at the end of the first quarter. Bath County seemed to rebound at the start of the second quarter, cutting the Lady Vikings lead to 23-17 before Rowan went on a 17-2 run to close the half at 40-19. The LadyCats never seemed to recover from that first half run and lost to Rowan 65-27.
Bath County’s McKenna Moore was the leading scorer for her team with 11 points and 2 rebounds. Abigail Henderson, Paige Faudere, and Kelsey Roberson finished with five points apiece. Henderson added a team-high 6 rebounds. With the loss, the LadyCats fall to 0-5 in the district standings. Bath County will travel out of region to West Jessamine on Saturday afternoon for a noon tip with the Lady Colts.
